CELTIC will be in pot 2 on Friday for the Europa League draw after overcoming Alkmaar on Thursday evening. The bhoys won 3-2 on aggregate and will now have the opportunity to play some top teams.
The club were in pot 1 last season and we got a very harsh draw so being in higher pots isn’t always an advantage.

In Pot 1 we could see the likes of a Moussa Dembele return with Lyon, another couple of rounds against Lazio or even a trip to Monaco.
Being in Pot 2 means we won’t get a Brendan Rodgers Celtic Park return with Leicester. The Ibrox club are also in pot 2.

Pot 3 we have West Ham, Marseille, Spartak and PSV to name a few.
Even Pot 4 looks tough with Galatasaray, Rapid and there could be a grudge match with Ferencvaros.
It’s great we’re in the draw and there’s a real number of competitive sides in this tournament. If Celtic and Ange want to get out of the group, they’re going to have to work their socks off.
