Celtic January Transfer Raid for Fraser Forster – BBC Pundit Puts It Out There

BBC pundit Michael Stewart has echoed the sentiments of our own social media pages this evening. Celtic must go to Southampton in January and sign Fraser Forster if they want to come out swinging in 2021.

Celtic thought they had a deal for Fraser in the bag during the summer. A loan move was agreed between the clubs but when Fraser headed back down south he had a change of heart and stayed at St Mary’s. He’s currently sitting on the bench as a back up for the English side, sitting on a pretty handsome contract.

Scott Bain isn’t the answer, Vasilis Barkas doesn’t look like he’s the answer and our defence is in freefall. One thing you want if your defender’s aren’t performing is a solid goalkeeper and we know we have that in Fraser Forster.

Stewart can see the club making a play for the Englishman again.

There are many Celtic fans who think we shouldn’t go back for the keeper but drastic times call for drastic measures and the man who single handily one us the League cup last season and turned losses into draws and draws into wins during our Europa League adventure is needed more than ever.
