Celtic have released a statement addressing Storm Eowyn tomorrow, with the strong winds likely to affect travel across the country.
With a rare ‘stay at home’ weather warning issued ahead of Friday due to dangerous 100mph winds posing threats to life, the Hoops have ensured they communicate with supporters about travel to Celtic Park.
Many Celtic supporters do travel to Paradise on days when the Bhoys aren’t playing to go on stadium tours, visit the Celtic Superstore, or simply see the world-renowned stadium. However, Celtic have made an announcement ahead of the storm, advising fans to take caution due to the severe weather conditions.
With Celtic in action against Dundee at Celtic Park at 3pm on Saturday, how the storm affects the game remains to be seen. With a number of supporters traveling from all across the world to see the Hoops, the storm could impact attendance due to flights and ferries being cancelled.

A Celtic statement read: “Please note that in light of the Red weather warning which has been issued by the Met Office from 10am until 5pm tomorrow (Friday, January 24) due to Storm Éowyn, and the advice from Police Scotland for people not to travel, the Celtic Superstore, Ticket Office, and other Celtic Park stadium facilities will be closed to the public tomorrow.
“All stadium tours have been cancelled, and communications will be sent directly to those affected.
“We apologise for any inconvenience caused.”
Spot on from the club to communicate exactly what the protocols are for tomorrow, as it is a day for everyone to stay safe and avoid unnecessary travel in such dangerous conditions, which do pose a threat to life.
