Celtic have sent an important message to supporters about an upcoming match at Celtic Park. The Bhoys will face Newcastle United on Saturday, July 19, in a pre-season friendly. It’s not just any friendly, though. This game will see the winners of Scotland and England’s League Cups go up against each other, and there’s a new piece of silverware on the line – the adidas Trophy.
The match is set to be a big occasion, giving fans one of the first chances to see Celtic back in action ahead of the new season. The game will have a competitive edge as both sides will want to get their hands on the inaugural adidas Trophy. It should also provide Brendan Rodgers with a strong test for his squad as they build up towards the new campaign.

Ticket prices for the match have also been confirmed. An adult ticket will cost £25. Concessions are priced at £17, and tickets for under-13s will cost £12. These prices will apply for both the Season Ticket holder window and when tickets go on general sale.
If you’re not a Season Ticket holder, you’ll be able to buy tickets from 10am on Tuesday, June 3. Celtic are also encouraging fans to “Sign For Celtic” online, which will allow supporters to get email reminders about ticket releases and other club news.

There’s also information for fans who require accessible seating. Tickets are on sale now for Accessible Season Ticket holders. Then from 11am on Tuesday, June 3, those on the Accessible Seating waiting list will be able to buy tickets as well.
The fixture is set to be a highlight of the summer for Celtic fans. With both clubs lifting domestic cups last season, the adidas Trophy adds something extra to what should be an exciting match. Celtic Park is sure to be buzzing, and fans are being told not to miss their chance to see the Bhoys back in action.
