THREE young Celtic players have made today’s under 21 Ireland starting XI as the country take on Wales.
All three men have been overlooked by Neil Lennon over the past two seasons but all three are out on loan at the minute.
Luca made the Irish squad late on after starring for Queens Park last weekend.
Lee O’Connor captains the side again because he really is that highly thought of in the Irish setup. Jonathan Afolabi has had a quiet season with Dundee and hasn’t done enough in my opinion to be considered a contender for a place in the Celtic squad, but you never know.
I have higher hopes for Lee and Luca at this moment in time.
Lee has been brilliant with Tranmere and Luca has so much potential but has not been able to show the support what he can do.
