Neil Lennon has hailed their ten day tour of Austria and Switzerland as a success, however, there was one concern coming out of the trip the Irishman explained.
“It’s been a very successful trip.” Lennon told CelticTV.
“We’ve got a lot of good work in over the last 10 days and we’re pretty much injury-free, although we’ll need to check out how Bayo’s going to be after the second game.”
Bayo spent the second half of the season out injured for most of it due to a hamstring injury. If the frontman’s injury curse has a struck again then it could be a big issue for the club. This is maybe the reason why Neil would like to bring in another forward before the window closes.
Bayo scored against Wiener on Saturday and was looking to get his Celtic career up and running for sure.
We will have to wait to find out the extent of the injury. The bhoys traveled back to Glasgow this afternoon and will now start preparation for their first Champions League qualifier in less than a week.
Celtic will Travel to Bosnia for their game with Sarajevo on July 9. That game has been changed to a 6:45pm kick off.
Will Bayo be involved?
