Celtic won a world-record eighth treble last season, a 3-1 victory over Inverness in the Scottish Cup final ensuring such a feat. Now, the Hoops’ defence of the famous old trophy is set to begin.
This Sunday, the 26th of November, the Bhoys will enter the hat for the draw for the fourth round of the Scottish Cup. The draw will be live on BBC Scotland at 7.15 pm UK time.
There are numerous teams the Celts could face, ranging from Broxburn Athletic or Buckie Thistle to Aberdeen or arch-rivals Rangers. Last year at this stage, Celtic took on Greenock Morton at home, eventually running out 5-0 victors.
Brendan Rodgers wouldn’t turn down a similar draw and scoreline this time around, as he manages in a competition he has won twice already in his career. Both of these victories came in his first spell in charge of Celtic, and it will be hoped he can add a third triumph in his second.
