Celtic in €12m Transfer Mystery – Reports

REPORTS claim Celtic hired a subsidiary over the summer to make a deal between the Scottish Champions and Marseille for the transfer of Olivier Ntcham.

The midfielder gave an interview over the summer that seemed to suggest he wanted to move on and back to France if he could. The Scotsman report Celtic tried to make that happen for a fee of around €10-12m.

After the French Under 21 World Cup – Ntcham came back into the fold at Celtic Park and has been in and out of this Celtic side. The former Manchester City man scoring a screamer in the League Cup against Partick Thistle back in September.

There’s a feeling among some supporters the player could move on either in January or the summer under the right conditions.

The mystery at this point is why Celtic would actively try and sell the player unless Neil Lennon was happy to do so.

Ollie is unplayable on his day but his off days can be very frustrating. Neil Lennon trying to jam the midfielder into the side rather than drop Scott Brown or Callum McGregor has yielded some poor results.
