JOHN HARTSON has told his Twitter followers that he will NOT be in the running to be the next Wales manager after speaking with the Welsh FA.
The former Celtic striker would love nothing better than to manage his country but he admitted himself that it would be a step too far.
After conversations with the FAW I won't be in the running for the next Wales manager's post.. I will always continue to support my country and wish them every bit of success in the future. Being honest it's a step too far at this time of my life. #Wales

John has fought back from many things in his life, including major illness and is a regular football pundit nowadays.
He is obviously now a massive Celtic supporter who follows the clubs fortunes on a daily basis.
While John may not be in the running now, never say never.
