Celtic have officially responded to the shocking incident in the away dugout at Ibrox this afternoon in which a coin struck assistant manager John Kennedy.
The 40-year-old, who spearheaded things for the Hoops from the sidelines last week, was shamefully hit by the object which came from the home stands.
With no away fans allowed into Ibrox stadium, Celtic knew everything would be against them but such an occurrence is shameful.

Fortunately, Kennedy wasn’t drastically hurt or affected but his safety was undoubtedly put at risk. When someone goes to work, they should be assured of their welfare but today, the coach, and several of his colleagues weren’t.
Disgraceful episodes like this have to be stopped and regarding this particular one, Celtic have spoken out.
After today’s enthralling 3-3 draw, the club stated that they will raise ‘serious concerns’ for an incident that is ‘totally unacceptable’. They understand it is being dealt with by the authorities.
An official spokesperson said: “It is totally unacceptable that our staff have once again been targeted in this way. We will be raising our serious concerns with Rangers and we understand that the matter is currently being investigated by Police Scotland.”
It feels as though every time Celtic face Rangers at Ibrox, there is an immoral happening towards a player, coach, or member of the backroom team.
Today, Kennedy was the victim of an incident for which there are no excuses.
