Paul Lambert has recently shared his thoughts on the ongoing Scottish Premiership race, strongly backing Celtic to clinch the title.

During a discussion on talkSPORT, Lambert highlighted a noticeable “fear factor” affecting Rangers’ performance over the past few weeks, especially evident in their recent results against Ross County and Dundee where they lost and drew. Despite picking up their first win in four league games against St Mirren, Lambert believes this anxiety could impact their crucial upcoming match.
Celtic currently leads the league by three points and is set to face Rangers at Parkhead on Saturday, May 11. This match is anticipated to be decisive for the title race. Lambert expressed confidence in Celtic’s position and advantage, suggesting that the outcome of this game could ultimately determine the champion.
“The one at Parkhead I think is going to be pivotal to what is going to happen. I think whoever wins that will win the title.
“I think Celtic are favourites, they are in the driving seat. Rangers had a fear factor in the last few games where they have not got the points where Celtic have kicked on again.
“I think Parkhead will be formidable for Rangers to get a result.”
With Parkhead expected to be a challenging venue for Rangers, Lambert’s prediction adds an extra layer of anticipation and pressure to the final derby, setting the stage for a thrilling climax to the league season with Rangers looking to pick up their first derby win of the season.
