FRANK MCAVENNIE believes that Cameron Carter-Vickers won’t be leaving Celtic anytime soon, with the pundit believing that the American is enjoying his football with the Scottish champions.

He’s played for plenty of clubs south of the border and struggled to find one where he could call home. He’s moved up north and has impressed with Celtic and is starring weekly.

He’s settled at the Celtic, about to finish his second season with the Scottish side.

There have been very few rumours surrounding the player, while his defensive partner, Carl Starfelt, could be heading for the exit in the summer, with Premier League clubs snooping.

Carter-Vickers is an integral player for the Celtic side; losing him would be a real blow. However, fans shouldn’t be worried about the player leaving anytime soon, says Frank McAvennie.

He told Football Insider:

He is not going anywhere.

I think he is enjoying himself. He has had his time down there. He will have learned so much at Celtic and I think if he goes back down he will be a better player.

If I was a team I would want Hatate. There are some quality players in the Celtic team at the moment.

It is good that the players and the manager are getting touted everywhere it means that you are doing your job.

That is all it does mean. Until somebody comes in with the hard cash then we will not know.

It’s only natural that when a player is successful with a club like Celtic, other sides will come looking. Hopefully, Macca is right, and CCV is here to stay and build on the success he’s helped bring to the club.
