Celtic Hero Confirms Commitment to Club

Celtic are about to enter a historic season when the curtains come up on the league season in August. There will be no supporters in the door but the club will begin the defence of their title for the tenth consecutive time.

We need every single player to stand up and be counted when the time comes. One man who is desperate to make history and has reiterated his commitment to the cause is James Forrest. The winger who came through the ranks at Celtic Park has been a faithful servant to the team and is one of only two players who has been part of this entire nine in a row run – the other being Scott Brown.

Speaking to The Herald, the winger spoke about how massive Celtic is and who he wants to continue to be a part of it for as long as possible. The way James speaks, he wants to be part of Celtic until the club shows him the door.

There are so many players who look over the fence when they play for the Scottish Champions and eventually head off, James Forrest has remained a Celt and got better every year.

He gets a lot of flack from some supporters but when we look back at this run in the future, he will be one of the key players cited.

Speaking about playing for Celtic, Forrest gives you the confidence he’s going to try everything next term to make sure the bhoys make history.

“I’m 29 in July and want to play for as a long as I can here,” he said. “You hear about lots of boys leaving and they all say when they go how big Celtic is. As the years go on you do realise that more and more.

“I just want to keep trying to be a part of Celtic for as long as I can. I don’t know for how long that will be, but I’ll keep trying and I’ll working to do so.”
