Celtic fans watched their games stop and start all season with VAR this season, but since the mid-season review in February, only one call has gone wrongly against the Hoops, the SFA say.

This wrong call came in that now infamous match against Hearts, when Brendan Rodgers described the VAR official, John Beaton, as incompetent.
In the game, the main flashpoint involved Celtic player Yang Hyun-jun. Initially receiving a yellow card for a high boot on Alex Cochrane, the sanction was escalated to a red card. Referee Don Robertson made this decision after a VAR prompt by John Beaton, urging him to re-evaluate the incident at the monitor. This call was ruled correct.
An independent review has examined the officiating decisions during this match and confirmed an error against Celtic.
The Daily Record reports that the independent panel deemed the handball decison on Iwata a mistake. “On-field decision correct, no penalty to Hearts. Handball should not have been awarded.”
These instances highlight ongoing concerns about VAR’s impact in critical match situations. Yet, the review did not address other controversial moments involving Celtic.
There was no reference was made to Fabio Silva’s dive that influenced a VAR decision, which played a pivotal role in Rangers’ comeback in the last Glasgow Derby.
The officials overlooked a penalty claim by Celtic striker Kyogo, who had his legs swiped by Livingston’s Devlin.
The independent panel can say what they want, but there has been more than one mistake against Celtic.
