Celtic Have Injury Worries Eased

Celtic fans will be relieved to see Nicolas Kuhn back in training ahead of Saturday’s early kick-off against Hibernian, easing concerns over his fitness following the Bayern Munich clash.

The German winger, who has been one of Celtic’s standout performers, was forced off in the 69th minute in Munich, raising fears he could miss the weekend’s action. However, images from SNS Group on Friday confirmed Kuhn was involved in training at Lennoxtown, suggesting he could be available for selection.

Brendan Rodgers is set to provide an official update later today when he faces the media, but the early signs are positive.

Kuhn was instrumental against Bayern, scoring the goal that had Celtic on the brink of extra time before a last-second equaliser ended their Champions League journey. With the Hoops 13 points clear at the top of the Premiership, Rodgers will be keen to keep momentum going as his side push towards the title.

With a 12:30 pm kick-off against Hibernian at Easter Road, confirmation of Kuhn’s availability will be a key talking point in Rodgers’ pre-match press conference later this afternoon.

Hibs is always a hard place to visit, especially for Celtic after a tough European outing. But with Celtic playing on Tuesday, rather than Wednesday, the players have had an extra few days to rest their legs.
