Celtic Have “Incredible Business” Hailed After Tuesday Night Cameo

Kieran Tierney gave Celtic fans a brilliant reminder of just how good a move it is to get the player back to the club in the summer.

He made a sharp cameo in Arsenal’s commanding 3-0 win over Real Madrid in the Champions League quarter-final first leg.

The Scotland international was introduced late on, operating in a midfield role as the Gunners closed out a significant victory at the Emirates. With the return leg in Spain still to come, Arsenal are in a strong position to reach the semi-finals, and Tierney could yet end the season with a Champions League winner’s medal.

Pundit Tam McManus took to social media after the match to highlight what a coup Celtic have pulled off. “Kieran Tierney on for Arsenal and looks fit & sharp. Could win the Champions League this season so really is incredible business for Celtic to get him in the Summer,” McManus posted on X.

Celtic moved early to bring Tierney back to the club on a pre-contract, and his impending return is viewed as a massive boost for Brendan Rodgers’ plans next season—especially with Greg Taylor set to depart. The left-back has spent the past few years in the Premier League and La Liga, gaining invaluable experience that could prove vital in Europe and on the domestic front.

If he returns to Glasgow as a European champion, it would add yet another layer to what is already a highly anticipated homecoming for the former Celtic youth product.
