Celtic look to have been handed a potential boost in preparation for their Europa Conference league tie against Bodo/Glimt, with Patrick Berg set to depart the club.
Berg has long been hailed as a top talent for the Norwegian champions, being heavily linked with a move away given his impressive performances, including on the European stage.
Some Celtic fans and notable accounts on social media have also called for Ange Postecoglou’s side to join the clubs interested in signing the 24-year old.
Although he may not be coming to Parkhead to play for the club, he also won’t be making the trip with his former side in February.
According to reliable journalist Fabrizio Romano, the midfielder is set to complete a move to French side Lens.
Lens have reached an agreement with Bodø/Glimt to sign Norwegian midfielder Patrick Berg on a permanent move, done deal and here-we-go. The player will be in France today, together with his agent. 🇳🇴🇫🇷 #transfers

With the impressive improvements the Norwegian side has continued to make, it is not a surprise for many to see the likes of Berg now moving away.
