Celtic have been given another Champions League boost but this one will only matter if we make the group stage of the Champions League.
PSG’s victory over Atalanta on Wednesday night means the Italian club would NOT be above Celtic in the UEFA rankings and therefore Celtic would be in Pot 3 for the group stage draw, if we get there.
The only way Celtic wouldn’t make pot 3 at this stage would be if Lyon won the Champions League this season.
As Celtic’s Euro expert Moravcik67_ explained, there’s a long way to go before this could be a reality.
As much as I hate to see PSG win, it does mean that Atalanta won't be ranked above Celtic in Europe for 20/21.
Should Celtic qualify for the CL groups we would be a Pot 3 team unless Lyon win the 19/20 Champions League.
The hard part is, of course, qualifying for the groups.

Neil Lennon’s men start their quest to make the group stage on Tuesday night against KR Reykjavik at Celtic Park. One off, knock out ties will be in force until the play-off round of the competition. The bhoys must be vigilant against slip ups.
