VASILIS BARKAS remains a Celtic player after the summer transfer window even though the goalkeeper has slipped down the pecking order at the club.
Ange Postecoglou has chosen Joe Hart as his number one and the goalkeeper has been more of a presence in goals than both Barkas and Bain.
It would have been in the goalkeepers best interest to head out on loan at least this season but nothing came of it and he has stayed in Glashow, third choice at the moment.
It looks like more bad news for Barkas this week as he’s been told until he gets first-team football, he will not be considered for the Greek national team.

The goalkeeper’s Celtic career looks over with almost no way back into the first team unless there was an injury crisis.
Having had a tough time last season, there was an argument to stick with Barkas for a little longer this term but after a pivotal mistake in a Champions League tie earlier this season, Ange opted to go with Scott Bain before signing Joe Hart.
