Jonjoe Kenny has completed a move to Greek side PAOK, with the former Celtic right-back returning to the spotlight after a quiet spell in Germany.

Kenny, who spent six months at Celtic Park under Neil Lennon in 2021, was unveiled by PAOK this week after leaving Hertha Berlin on a free transfer. The 28-year-old has opted for a new challenge in the Greek Super League, turning down several offers from clubs in Germany and England.

His arrival in Thessaloniki had fuelled speculation that PAOK were closing in on a double swoop, with Taylor long linked to the Greek side. However, negotiations have reportedly cooled, with the Danish side now firmly in the frame.
Copenhagen, preparing for another tilt at the Champions League, have made contact with Taylor’s camp and are said to be offering a more attractive route back to Europe’s top competition.

Taylor, 27, remains on holiday after the season ended, but his future is expected to be resolved before Celtic return for pre-season. With Kieran Tierney having sealed a Hoops return and Brendan Rodgers reshaping his squad, Taylor looks set to move on after six years in Glasgow.
PAOK may still push to get the deal done, but with Copenhagen entering the race, the defender’s next step is far from settled. Kenny is in the door, but a Celtic reunion in Greece now looks more unlikely.
