Celtic Flop Released by Club

FORMER Celtic loan flop Aleksandar Tonev has been released by Italian side Crotone.

The club announced the Bulgarian’s departure after not featuring for the Serie A side this season.

During the midfielders time at Celtic Park, he made 13 appearances under Ronny Deila but was more known for the 7-match ban he got for being found guilty of racially abusing Aberdeen’s Shay Logan on the balance of probability.

Tonev hasn’t really hit the heights many expected him to when he joined Aston Villa back in 2013.

The Bulgarian is now free to find a new club.
