Celtic is set to maintain its firm stance in the ongoing ticket allocation dispute with Rangers regarding the upcoming Glasgow Derby at Parkhead on December 30.

According to Record Sport, Celtic are bracing for a push from Ibrox officials to secure tickets for the match, a request that could escalate to the SPFL for intervention.

This standoff follows a previous decision by Celtic not to accept tickets for a match at Ibrox earlier in the season, citing safety concerns as the reason.

The Govan side even tried to order nets to protect the travelling support, due to a number of incidents previously, showing they too agree about the safety concerns.

Historically, both clubs have accommodated substantial away support, with Celtic fans occupying the entire Broomloan Stand in Govan and Rangers supporters receiving a similar allocation at Parkhead, totalling around 7,500 seats. However, it’s now been seasons without the large travelling support, and Celtic are keen to get back to similar numbers.

As it stands, Celtic don’t intend to offer Rangers a single ticket for the match.
