Celtic fined by UEFA again after Lazio clash

Celtic have been hit with a UEFA fine following their Champions League away match against Lazio a few weeks ago.

This fine adds to a series of penalties the club has faced during this campaign for various infractions.

The latest fine, amounting to €10,250, was imposed for two specific violations: the lighting of fireworks and the throwing of objects. The incident occurred during the match in Rome, where Celtic supporters were reportedly subjected to pyrotechnics from the Lazio fans. In response, some Celtic fans threw these items back towards the home section. [Football Scotland]

Lazio have also been hit with fines and a suspended partial stadium closure, after the banners and chants from the home support. They have also been fined for the lighting of fireworks and the throwing of objects. [UEFA]

Celtic finished rock bottom of their Champions League group, but they did manage to put their winless streak to an end, picking up three points against Feyenoord in the last game of the group. It was the first win in 16 games, and first at home in a decade.
