Celtic Set to do Battle with Glasgow City Council

There was a pre-hearing earlier this week to discuss the parameters and information surrounding the main hearing surrounding a parking exclusion zone around Celtic Park on match days.

The club were in attendance at the pre-hearing as stiff opposition to the plans which would affect thousands of supporters.

The ban would mean Celtic fans couldn’t park within the perimeter of Celtic Park on match days.

A lawyer, in attendance for Celtic told the pre-hearing there were gaps in the information given about the exclusion zone and nothing should be pressed ahead with until all the key information has been looked over.

SunSport claims this could result in another pre-hearing before they get down to business on deciding to go ahead with the exclusion zone or not.

Celtic had also been asking fans to voice their opposition to the measure in the form of a written email to Glasgow City Council. There were also supporters in attendance at the pre-hearing.
