Celtic Fans “Restless” as Dolberg Collapse Exposes Transfer Chaos

Chris Sutton’s latest take on Celtic’s transfer business strikes at the heart of a growing frustration among supporters, and he’s not wrong.

Speaking after another uninspiring attacking display in the Glasgow Derby, Sutton was hopeful that Celtic would kick on and get a few forward players over the line.

But, as the hours tick down until the deadline, Celtic have missed out on their main target and are now looking around England for some loans.

Celtic have made a late move for Chelsea striker David Datro Fofana, but he can’t come in and replace Kyogo and Idah.

Speaking to Sky Sports, unaware that the Dolberg deal was falling through, Sutton said;

“If Celtic don’t get that [Dolberg] over the line, the Natives are certainly going to be restless.”

And they are. Brendan Rodgers’ side has crashed out of the Champions League, struggled in the transfer market, and limped to a stalemate in the Glasgow clash that should have been theirs to dominate.

“Celtic weren’t creative enough. They need a centre forward in badly — at least one. And they need players in those wide areas.”

Hopefully, Celtic have a trick or two up their sleeves, but nothing seems imminent in the striker position.

The reality is harsh — Celtic had all summer to act and didn’t. Now, fans are left wondering how a club with so much promise could find itself so underprepared. And unless the board addresses the gaps with urgency, the pressure will only mount.
