Celtic Fans on Alert as ScotRail Issue Sunday Travel Warning

Celtic fans are on alert this morning after ScotRail put out a warning about their Sunday services.

Supporters from both sides of the Glasgow divide are set to descend upon Glasgow’s southside this afternoon to see the Hoops take on Rangers in the 2024 Premier Sports Cup final.

Getting to Hampden for some fans, however, might be an issue, especially after ScotRail’s recent update.

Indeed, they took to X last night, stating that a number of services have been cancelled today due to the unavailability of train drivers. Replacement buses have been put in place for some of the cancelled services.

They then issued a further update on X earlier this morning, urging travellers to check their journey before they travel and buy tickets on the app, with services expected to be ‘very busy’ today.

The train delays and cancellations can potentially cause havoc, but by 3:30pm, everyone’s sole focus will be on the football.

Celtic are looking to get their first piece of silverware of the campaign under their belt, and win back the league cup from city rivals Rangers.

The Hoops and Brendan Rodgers have been utterly dominant in the fixture over the past few years, and they will be hoping that doesn’t change this afternoon.
