Celtic Fans Get Sneak Peak of New Bhoy as Striker Lands Double

NEIL LENNON was in attendance at Cliftonhill on Tuesday night to see his developmental side take on Albion Rovers in the Jock Stein Friendship cup which is annually contested by the two sides.

Celtic fans who made the trip got to see Celtic put out a strong developmental side which had the returning Daniel Arzani playing for the bhoys along side Jack Hendry, Armstrong Oko-Flex, Jonathan Afolabi and Karamoko Dembele.

The bhoys won 3-0 on the night against the home side and it was the goal scorers who were very noteworthy.

A double for new bhoy Jonathan Afolabi while Karamoko Dembele got his second developmental goal since coming back from a foot injury.

Former Manchester Utd defender Lee O’Connor was also given game time.

Afolabi is someone who is seen as on the cusp of the Celtic first team – if he keeps playing well in the next month or two we could see him in and around the match day squad before too long. The former Southampton man can play up top or out on the wing.
