Celtic Fans Beware – Hibernian Are Stepping Up Security for Sunday

Easter Road security will be stepped up on Sunday as Celtic fans head to town for the Bhoys game against Hibernian.

After recent security issues with fans throwing items onto the pitch inside the ground, Hibs are now deploying sniffer dogs outside the stadium in a bid to stop fans getting in with pyro among other things.

According to RecordSport, the club have warned their own fans as well as the away support to expect delays and turn up to the ground in plenty of time to make sure they are in their seat for kick off.

The last time Celtic were at this ground, Scott Sinclair was nearly struck by a glass bottle from the Hibernian end.

The use of pyro from many sets of supporters and throwing them onto the pitch has also become a big issue, Hibs will find out if their new measures will work come kick off tomorrow.

Celtic go to Easter Road knowing a win will set them up nicely to secure the title next week at Celtic Park.

Neil Lennon is returning to Leith for the second time since leaving Hibs earlier this season.
