CELTIC FANS watched on with interest last night as they looked to find out who the club would get in the semi-final of the Scottish Cup.
The replay on Tuesday night between Seven Gerrard’s men and Aberdeen would decide who was off to Hampden next month to play the defending champions.
An early goal from Aberdeen from former Celtic midfielder Nial McGinn set them on their way and a second with less than 20 minutes to go sealed the Ibrox club’s fate and Celtic’s next opponents for the old trophy.
After so much boasting, bravado, talk about bringing cups home and spending over the top money on a 36-year-old striker they have actually gone backwards under the current regime, much to the delight of Celtic fans.
Social media was a fun place to be on Tuesday night for Celtic fans as they had a laugh at the Ibrox club’s expense – but tweet of the night came from @BiggusMannus after his hilarious claim.
Object thrown on the pitch at Ibrox. Looks like a towel.
