Celtic Fan Favourite Amazed by Postecoglou

CHRIS JULLIEN has revealed how Postecoglou has left him astounded. The French defender hasn’t had many training sessions with the manager yet, returning to full training in January.

Postecoglou likes his defenders to be confident on the ball and play out from the back with ease, even when under pressure. Although he doesn’t want the defenders to go side-to-side, instead, he wants them to build the attack. The French defender is excited to start playing football this way.

Speaking to Celtic TV, the 28-year-old defender revealed his amazement and admiration for Postecoglou;

It is amazing even when I was not involved with the team and I was watching the videos and what they were doing and all the work that he wanted the team to get through and the demands he placed on his central defenders was amazing. I kind of admired that a lot and it’s a new way of working and

“I’m just so happy about it. I have been to multiple clubs with multiple managers and to have this manager and that new visibility and a new way of working is really amazing. To have any advice every day from him (Ange) and his staff is really good. I can’t wait to get back in and help the team in any way that I can.

Jullien could be critical if he makes a return to the side. His trial ability could help at both ends of the park. Unable to defend a set price, he could help the team keep the threat at bay. At the other end, he has demonstrated significant at attacking the ball. Goals against Lazio and the Ibrox side spring straight to mind.

The former Toulouse man will be desperate to regain his starting place at Celtic, but Postecoglou will only merit this if he performs on the training ground.
