Celtic Fail in Bid to Release Parkhead Flop

Celtic striker Albian Ajeti has reportedly rejected the club’s pay-off offer, choosing instead to see out the final year of his contract.

Ajeti, who was signed for close to £5 million in the summer of 2020 during Neil Lennon’s tenure as manager, has struggled to make an impact at Celtic. His performances have not lived up to expectations, leading many fans to label him a flop. His lack of impact under both Lennon and his successor, Ange Postecoglou, led to him spending last season on loan at Sturm Graz.

Ajeti’s decision to reject the offer to leave Celtic suggests a determination to prove his worth and contribute to the club in the final year of his contract.

However, his path to first-team football appears challenging, especially given that he was not included in the squad that travelled to Japan for the pre-season tour under new manager Brendan Rodgers.
