Celtic Face Stiff Competition for January Target

If Celtic are to sign 18-year-old wonder kid Oscar Gloukh, they’ll have to beat the French side Olympique Marseille to his signature, according to a report from Scottish Daily Express.

Like Celtic, they will wait until after the World Cup before making a move for the player whose asking price is already set at £8 million.

Gloukh has been impressive in recent times and has attracted the attention of some top teams. Celtic are scouting the player ahead of the January transfer window, with the player said to be a serious option for Ange Postecoglou in the coming months.

He’s an attacking midfielder, a position the Hoops are already considerably strong in. Although, he would be viewed as one for the future who could go into the team if needed. It would take something to displace Matt O’Riley or Reo Hatate, with position nailed down at the moment.

It will be interesting to see if Celtic do make a move for the player in the coming months, especially a player with the potential this young lad has.
