CELTIC haven’t forgotten about Charlton’s Alfie Doughty even with a move for left-sided player Diego Laxalt closing in on a move to the Scottish champions. [Read More]
Laxalt is set for a Celtic medical in London ahead of a loan switch from Milan for the rest of this season. It looks a great piece of business by Celtic if they can get it over the line.

One man who they were very keen on during the window was Alfie Doughty, but Charlton have been very stubborn about any approach for their player. Celtic have had two bids rejected for Alfie and now Glasgow Times is reporting the club will now wait until January to snap the player up on a pre-contract.
It’s a risky game because Celtic will not be the only club in contention if Alfie enters the last few months of his deal, but if Celtic are confident they can lure the left-sided player up to Scotland next summer for free, it’s an avenue they want to go down.
