Celtic Eye Box-to-Box Midfielder – Report

Celtic are believed to be keeping a close eye on Moussa Baradji.

The 24-year-old midfielder has made a strong impression in the Swiss Super League after joining Yverdon Sport from Serie C side Legnago last summer.

Baradji quickly settled into the top flight of Swiss football, playing 27 league matches and contributing four goals and three assists.

Baradji’s versatility is one of his most attractive qualities. Comfortable in central and defensive midfield roles, he has also been deployed on the right wing. Reports from Africa Foot describe him as a true box-to-box midfielder – someone capable of influencing play at both ends of the pitch. That kind of energy and adaptability is the sort of midfield resource Celtic might value as Brendan Rodgers looks to refresh his squad ahead of the new season.

The interest in Baradji emerges just as Celtic appear close to confirming the signing of Benjamin Nygren, anticipated to be announced around July 1st. While Nygren adds creativity to the attacking midfield ranks, Baradji would bring a different dimension – stamina, defensive discipline, and pressing intensity. That blend could give Rodgers more tactical flexibility, particularly in European qualifiers and a busy domestic season.

The deal is certainly one to keep an eye on over the next few days and weeks.
