Benjamin Siegrist has been left dissapointed after his move away from Celtic spectacularly collapsed at the eleventh hour. [RecordSport] The Austrians had been keen on bringing Siegrist into the fold, but they’ve decided to look elsewhere, leaving the goalkeeper in a bit of a lurch.
It seemed like everything was lined up for a loan deal, but then Sturm Graz shifted their sights to Liverpool’s Vitezlav Jaros. This leaves Siegrist in a tricky spot at Celtic.

Siegrist, who didn’t find his footing under Ange Postecoglou was then put further down the pecking others by Brendan Rodgers showing a preference for Scott Bain as Joe Hart’s backup.
He now finds himself having to reassess his options. The Swiss stopper had switched agents this season in a bid to find a new club. The clock is ticking, and with the transfer window closing in three weeks, it’s back to the drawing board for Siegrist and his team to find a new path forward.
