Celtic Europa League Verdict

Celtic have been drawn against Copenhagen in the last 32 of the Europa League.

The club made it into the last 32 by coming second in a group with Malmo, Dynamo Kyiv and Lugano.

The bhoys will fancy their chances home and away but we can take nothing for granted.

The club’s haven’t played each other since 2006 when they met in the Champions League.

Celtic won the home leg 1-0 and the bhoys lost the away leg 3-1.

Gordon Strachan was the manager at the time with Neil Lennon in the playing squad.

The bhoys won their group at a canter – leaving Cluj, Lazio and Rennes in their wake. Three strong teams who Celtic were tipped to struggle against.

Celtic will be looking to get further than they have done in recent years with the last 32 as far as they got under both Deila and Rodgers.

The ties will be played on 20th and 27th February.
