A duo of Celtic players have been called up to play for the South Korean national team this September.
The squad for matches against Wales and Saudi Arabia was announced early on Monday morning.
Of three South Koreans currently at the club, two received call-ups. Yang Hyun-jun and Oh Hyeon-gyu will play for their country this autumn. The former is yet to make his official debut for the Asian nation, with Oh having played for South Korea five times already.

Oh’s call-up is particularly interesting. He was named by Brendan Rodgers as out injured a few weeks ago, but his inclusion points towards an imminent return.
Kwon Hyeok-kyu will have been disappointed to miss out on a call-up. He has never played for South Korea’s first team, though, and his exploits at Celtic so far have not warranted a national team call.
That hasn’t prevented his fellow countrymen in green and white, though. It will have been an honour for Yang and Oh to get called up, and in the coming weeks, they will be aiming to gain yet more caps and each bag their first goals for their country.
