CELTIC have had a third dealing with COVID-19 with Nir Bitton being confirmed as positive and will now certainly miss the Glasgow Derby.
Bitton was asked not to go international duty as was injured in the first place but he defied club advice and played in 120 minutes of football before being knocked out by Scotland on penalties.
The player appears to have contracted the illness on international duty. Edouard is similar and Ryan Christie is negative for Covid but must isolate due to track and trace protocols.
It means Nir and Ryan are definitely out of the derby while Eddy would be eligible but will not have trained with the squad.
This is going to be a big week and with so many players still out with their countries, there could be more to come. We have to hold our breath and hope for the best.
We wish Nir a speedy recovery.
