Celtic Drop First Points of 2022 – They Can’t Have Any Complaints

CELTIC have dropped points for the first time in 2022 with a lacklustre performance against Hibernian at Easter Road.

The bhoys never really got a foothold in the game and failed to be a creative force. High energy, high intense football replaced by ponderous ball retention and a lack of movement.

It was a big blow at the start of the day when Giakoumakis was ruled out through illness. The Greek striker bagged a hat-trick against Dundee last Sunday and couldn’t be called on against Hibs.

Maeda didn’t manage to lead the line well at all and struggled to get into the game. With some late heroics over the past few games, it was not to be this time for the club.

What does this mean for the title race?

Celtic were three points ahead at the start of the day, the Ibrox club can now cut the gap this afternoon when Motherwell visit.

There was always going to be twists in the title race and Easter Road was earmarked as a potential place where Celtic could struggle. It’s turned out to be the case and Ange must assess why his team’s energy levels have dropped off the map in the past few weeks.

We’ve witnessed a massive drop in the way we play since the first half against of the Glasgow Derby.

We’re badly missing Kyogo now and perhaps even David Turnbull to freshen things up.

We’re now in the final stretch and any more games like Hibs and Celtic can kiss goodbye to their chances of winning this title.
