CELTIC look like they dodged a bullet last summer when a failed medical halted the club signing Rivaldo Coetzee from Ajax Cape Town.

Despite the collapse of his move to Celtic, the defender signed for Mamelodi Sundowns just 48 hours after his failed move to Glasgow.

Many Celtic fans, who were desperate to see defensive enforcements at the time were confused as to why Coetzee failed his medical with Celtic but still managed to move.

Rivaldo is yet to play a game for Sundowns since he failed Celtic’s medical and it’s become crystal clear the South African was suffering from a major injury.
