Celtic have this afternoon discovered that they will face Edinburgh side Hibernian in the Premier Sports cup final next month.
As Celtic sailed through with a 1-0 victory over St Johnstone at Hampden Park yesterday, all that was left to do was wait and see who Ange Postecoglou’s squad will face in the final on the 19th of December.
Hibernian came out on top, and it was all thanks to a fellow countrymen of Postecoglou as Australian internationalist Martin Boyle grabbed a first-half hat-trick, to see off Glasgow rivals Rangers in a 3-1 win.

The Hoops can now look forward to that final knowing their opponents on the day, in what should be another entertaining Hampden fixture, with both sides attempting to lift the first silverware of the season.
Last time, the two teams came up against one another, it was an emphatic first-half performance from Postecoglou’s squad, which secured the three points at Easter Road in a 3-1 victory.
For now, though, our focus turns back to our next fixture on Thursday evening against Bayer Leverkusen, before returning to Parkhead for domestic action facing Aberdeen next Sunday.
