Reports in France have stated that Christopher Jullien is carrying out “24 hours of tests” with the defender set to sign for Montpellier in the coming hours [France Bleu].
The defender who has already had a medial with newly promoted Bundesliga outfit Schalke with the transfer falling through is going through strict procedures in order to check him out ahead of his proposed move to France.
Jullien badly needs game time and a move back to Ligue 1 could be exactly what he needs having already spent time at Toulouse, Dijon and Auxerre.
There are at least four defenders in front of him at Celtic and the arrival of Moritz Jenz signalled that his time was well and truly up in Glasgow.

The 29-year old arrived in Montpellier yesterday and has been completing 24 hours worth of tests to check everything is okay with Jullien reportedly being fit since January.
From reports this morning, it would suggest that Montpellier are looking to sign the defender on a permanent basis which would certainly help the wage bill at Celtic with Jullien likely to be one of the top earners having signed under Neil Lennon for £7 million in 2019.

From the part of Montpellier it is hoped that the deal is completed as Jullien could possibly feature in their match at the weekend away to Brest, a ground he hasn’t played at in over six years.
