Celtic defender Auston Trusty has been included in Mauricio Pochettino’s first USA squad.
The Argentine named his maiden US roster yesterday, with the Hoops centre-half making the cut.
Trusty’s club teammate Cameron Carter-Vickers unfortunately missed out through an injury to his big toe.

The full squad was announced yesterday afternoon:
The first #USMNT roster of the Mauricio Pochettino-era is released.
Zack Steffen and Gianluca Busio called in for first time since 2023.
Gio Reyna and Cameron Carter-Vickers miss out through injuries. Richie Ledezma not in.

Trusty will look to build on his two USA caps when they play Panama and Mexico in upcoming friendlies.
As the games are more or less a free hit, new boss Pochettino will likely utilise his full squad to give each of his players an acid test, meaning the 26-year-old could well get a chance to impress.
Trusty’s latest USA call-up comes after he got a somewhat unexpected run of starts for Celtic.
The defender began against Falkirk a week and a half ago before impressing versus St. Johnstone on Saturday night.
The step up in level was clear on Tuesday, though, as the defender and his teammates failed to get pass marks in a horror show in Germany.
The Hoops were deservedly beaten at Signal Iduna Park, as Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund ran riot in an emphatic 7-1 thumping.
Trusty and Co. will aim to bounce back versus Ross County on Sunday and go into the international break on a positive note.
