Celtic Daft Donati Lands Back in Scottish Football

It seems like Massimo Donati can’t stay too far away from Celtic and Scotland these days.

Since leaving the club in 2009 the player went back to Italy before landing back on our shores in a surprise move to Hamilton back in 2016. He then had a short stint at St Mirren before calling time on his playing career.

The Italian who proudly sports a Celtic tattoo has taken up a new position today with the announcement Massimo will join Angelo Alessio’s backroom staff at Kilmarnock.

The midfielder turned coach will join his fellow Italian at Rugby Park as they look to build on the great work done by Stevie Clarke. Killie shocked many with their appointment of Antonio Conte’s former right hand man and they must be credited for their ambition.

Donati spent two seasons at Celtic, coming in from Milan. He had ok two years at Parkhead but we’ve certainly made an impression on the Italian.
