Celtic Cult Hero Set for Sensational Return to Football – Reports

It was only in October last year when we told you former Celtic enigma Georgios Samaras was hanging up his boots to take on a very different role in football.

His announcement took many by surprise at the time because he was only 33 and to hang up his boots felt a little premature. The news that he would be taking on a role at boardroom level with Greek club OFI caught people off guard. Once the Samaras had made his decision, the Celtic fans wished him well with his new adventure off the field.

However, according to reports this week, the former Celtic striker has been offered a very tempting deal to come out of retirement and join Italian club Frosinone.

The report says the big man is mulling over a deal to head to Italy for the rest of the season. It’s unknown how serious the offer is at this point but has Samaras got more to give and could he make a sensational return to football after just three months off the field.

Go on Sammy!
