Former Celtic striker Tony Watt has made the move to Partick Thistle on a two-year deal, linking up with former Hoops teammate Mark Wilson as he drops into the Championship.
The 31-year-old forward was a free agent after leaving Dundee United, where he had been frozen out following their return to the top flight.

Despite having a year left on his contract, Watt spent last season on loan at Motherwell, the club he had departed to join United in the first place, but found himself surplus to requirements at Tannadice under Jim Goodwin.
Partick Thistle have now stepped in to offer Watt a fresh start in a division he knows well. He brings both experience and a proven record at Championship level to the Jags, who will be looking to build under Wilson following a period of transition.
Watt, best remembered by Celtic fans for his famous winner against Barcelona in 2012, has had an interesting career since leaving the Hoops. Spells in Belgium, England, and across Scotland have brought mixed results, but the striker has remained a regular presence in the Scottish game over the past decade.
His link-up with Mark Wilson adds a Celtic connection in Maryhill, with Wilson now looking to guide Thistle back into Premiership contention.

Watt’s arrival is a clear statement of attacking intent from the Jags, who will hope the forward can rediscover his scoring touch and provide leadership for a squad eyeing promotion.
Having been in and out of sides over recent years, Watt will be aiming for consistency and a settled run of games under a manager who knows his game well.
