Celtic Continue to Frustrate Supporters With Media Stance

Celtic continue to frustrate their fan base by filtering information through to mainstream media outlets instead of handling things directly.

In the space of 48 hours we’ve had Keith Jackson tell us Neil Lennon is unlikely to be moved on, followed by SunSport telling us what the Dermot Desmond camp is thinking.

Celtic fans don’t appreciate the club speaking through outlets who have been a source of so much aggro over the years for the club and its supporters.

We have a rich band of new fan media who they could reach out to, or even, as we said at the top, let us know through their own means.

Giving pieces of information to journalists who cite them as sources is just a poor way to communicate with supporters.

Under this Celtic regime, we see very little in the way of an effort to embrace new fan media. We appreciate the Cynic bhoys get in for press conferences but when you see so many other clubs working with supporters, it’s telling that our club regularly ignore the community of fans while using their favourites in the MSM.
