Mail Sport Editor, Stephen McGowan has claimed Celtic are looking at a serious move for Benjamin Siegrist after the club loaned out Vasilis Barkas this week.
The former Dundee Utd goalkeeper is now a free agent and has been weighing up his options ahead of the new season. Celtic have Joe Hart and Scott Bain as the two first team goalkeepers. They also have Tobi Oluwayemi in reserves.
If Celtic are chasing another experienced goalkeeper — Ange may feel the cover for Joe Hart right now isn’t adequate enough.
Siegrist, 30, has shown himself to be a very good goalkeeper and is in demand after leaving Tannadice.

Any stopper who does come into Celtic will know they’re not number one. Will Benjamin go for that? Or will he look for a side who are going to make him number one?
Celtic have yet to make a signing this summer as of yet but it’s still early days. The window doesn’t officially open until Friday and the bhoys aren’t due back at Lennoxtown until the end of June.
Let’s hope there’s a few new faces before then.
