According to reports from Turkey, french midfielder Olivier Ntcham is a target for Sivasspor.
The report from the outlet Haberler states that the side, who finished 5th last season, have contacted Celtic and remain in discussions over a potential transfer.
If the 25-year-old is to make a switch to the Süper Lig it would see him play in the new UEFA Conference League next season. This is no step-up from what Celtic are currently offering, in fact, it is a step-down.
Concerningly, Celtic would accept a bid as little as €1 million. Considering the club splashed a reported £4.5 million on Ntcham this is very poor business. Oli may not be a consistent star within the side, but he should still be valued at more than currently reported.
I believe Celtic should allow the midfielder’s contract to run down if they value the midfielder at such a low price.
In a summer that will be filled with overhaul, I would rather have Ntcham who can still play a role in this Celtic squad than receive a fee that will amount to under one million pounds.
