We wrote earlier how the club have been taking some preparations, putting screens and barriers up on The Celtic Way.

The club released a statement on Friday confirming that operational and safety arrangements have been prepared at Parkhead should Brendan Rodgers’ side overcome Aberdeen in the Scottish Cup Final at Hampden.

“In the event of success in the match, supporters have traditionally gathered at Celtic Park following the game,” the matchday guide read. “We can confirm that safety and operational arrangements are being put in place at Celtic Park.

“Wherever you are watching the Scottish Cup final, enjoy the occasion and please respect the local environment on what we hope will be another memorable day for the club.”

The confirmation of a potential post-match celebration site follows widespread fan anticipation, with supporters hopeful of seeing Celtic lift their third major trophy of the season after securing the Premiership and League Cup.

It will be Celtic’s sixth treble in nine years and Rodgers’ third as Hoops boss, if they get over the line against Aberdeen.

With a stage and large screen already erected at the top of the Celtic Way, the preparations are a clear signal of the club’s readiness to mark another historic moment – if Rodgers’ side can deliver on the pitch.

It has become the tradition for fans to meet at the Celtic Way after the Scottish Cup is secured, and no doubt there will be a great turnout if the side lift the trophy.
